Round 1: Petroski lands an early left hand, then jumps on Hu and wraps up a guillotine when the latter slips. Cranking on it from mount a minute in. He abandons it, then takes the back. Hard punches. Brief RNC attempt, loses it, retakes the back when Hu tries to scramble. Now another guillotine attempt, lets it go. Lead lefts when they stand. Brutal counter left. Hu marching forward, lands a front kick to the body and gets wobbled by a right hook. Two minutes to go.
More left hands landing for Petroski, body kick, more left hands. Hu’s eating everything so far. Long right lands for Hu, continuing to shrug off the left hands. One minute to go. Petroski shoots, hits a single-leg, lands an uppercut on the way up. More counters by Petroski. Uppercut-cross-body kick. 10-9 Petroski.
Round 2: Early takedown from Petroski, can’t get the front headlock. Left hands, another takedown. On top in half guard. One minute in. Left hands, m guillotine, side control. North-south, anaconda choke. No dice. Arm triangle now. Hu holding onto his own leg to defend two minutes in. BAck to side control. Full mount, another arm triangle. Two minutes to go.
This one looks deep, but Hu uses the same defense. Petroski abandons it and takes turtle, landing punches. Hu works to stand, dragged back to his knees. Petroski takes the back with a minute to go. A little too low to threaten the RNC. Hu scrambles up and avoids elbows at the bell. Borderline 10-8. 10-9 Petroski.
Round 3: Petroski shoots, denied, lands an overhand left. The next shot’s better and he drags Hu down against the fence. One minute in. Elbows from Petroski, puts in a hook. One minute in. Hu tries to spin into guard, gets snapped down with the front headlock, then stands and separates. Monster uppercut and straight left land for Petroski to no visible effect. He shoots from too far out, manages to complete it into side control anyway.
Full mount for Petroski with two minutes to go. Now the back, both hooks. Nasty elbows from mount. Hu regains half guard. One minute to go. Petroski wraps up an arm triangle and it’s the deepest one yet, finally forcing a tap.
