UFC free fight: Angela Hill puts on striking clinic against Emily Ducote to win dominant decision

MMA news

Angela Hill reminded everyone in her last outing why she’s a forced to be reckoned with.

The former Invicta FC champion put on a striking clinic against Emily Ducote at UFC on ESPN 42 in December. It was a clean and dominant win for Hill, who won 30–27 across all three judges’ scorecard. Hill is known for her striking, but she showed new wrinkles and renewed fire in the performance.

Hill is set to return to the cage on Saturday in the main event of UFC Fight Night 224. She takes on Mackenzie Dern in a strawweight matchup. The card goes down at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and streams on ESPN+.

Hill (15-12 MMA, 10-12 UFC) is coming off back-to-back wins over Ducote and Loopy Godinez. This two-fight winning streak snapped a 1-5 rut for Hill from 2020-2022.

Dern (12-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC), meanwhile, looks to bounce back from a majority decision loss to Yan Xiaonan from in October. She’s currently 1-2 in her past three fights, a stretch that put a halt to a four-fight winning streak.
