Aljamain Sterling: ‘Henry Cejudo is the fight that’s gonna happen next’
UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling appears to have his next fight lined up. “Funk Master” will be facing former two-division titleholder Henry Cejudo next.
Sterling made the announcement in a video posted to his YouTube channel on Thursday.
“I’m announcing that I am gonna fight Henry next,” Sterling said. “We are targeting March. So, I will say, Ali (Abdelaziz), brother, it’s done, but it’s still not done until there’s ink on the paper, you know what I mean? But it’s done. It’s done, brother, but it’s still kind of not done, you know? But this is the fight that’s going to happen next.”
As I said, I know I’ll get the itch to compete sooner rather than later! One more month of PT then I’ll be starting camp to respectfully smash Triple Cheese 💯

Cejudo stepped away from the fight game after defeating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 in May 2020 to retain the 135-pound title. In May of this year, Cejudo’s coach Eric Albarracin revealed that Cejudo had re-entered the USADA testing pool with the intention of returning to the octagon.
