Before he found himself in the news – yet again – for outside-the-cage issues, Conor McGregor was back at it with another callout.
McGregor, a former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion, made it known he’d like to come back from his broken leg and move up to welterweight to challenge for Kamaru Usman’s title. McGregor has back-to-back TKO losses to Dustin Poirier at lightweight.
Even UFC analyst Joe Rogan said McGregor probably should be careful what he’s wishing for, implying he might have some problems if he got a fight with Usman, who hasn’t lost in the UFC and has two wins each over Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal.
So what was McGregor thinking with that callout, which came before his latest legal issue in Ireland for alleged reckless driving? Our “Spinning Back Clique ” panel of Brian “Goze” Garcia, Nolan King and Matthew Wells broke down that topic with host “Gorgeous” George Garcia. You can check out the discussion in the video above.
