UFC Fight Night 199 post-event facts: Derrick Lewis stands alone as UFC’s KO king

The UFC closed out its 2021 schedule on Saturday with UFC Fight Night 199 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

The heavyweight main event saw Derrick Lewis (26-8 MMA, 17-6 UFC) take sole possession of the all-time UFC knockout record when he dropped and stopped Chris Daukaus (12-4 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in the opening round to rebound from his interim title-fight loss to Ciryl Gane in August.

Events stats

UFC Fight Night 199 featured 10 stoppage results, tied for the third most at a single event in modern UFC history.

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $238,500.

Amanda Lemos, Angela Hill, Cub Swanson and Melissa Gatto earned $50,000 UFC Fight Night 199 fight-night bonuses.

The UFC sold VIP tickets to fans for UFC Fight Night 199, but the promotion did not make public the total number of tickets sold or the gate.

Betting favorites went 10-3 on the card.

Betting favorites fell to 25-17 with one no contest in UFC headliners this year.

Total fight time for the 13-bout card was 2:00:42.

Belal Muhammad (20-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) improved to 10-1 with one no contest in his past 10 fights dating back to February 2017. His lone defeat came against Geoff Neal at UFC on ESPN+ 1.

Muhammad’s seven-fight UFC unbeaten streak at welterweight is the third-longest longest active streak in the division behind Kamaru Usman (15) and Leon Edwards (10)

Muhammad has earned 15 of his 20 career victories by decision. That includes nine of his 11 UFC wins.

Stephen Thompson (16-6-1 MMA, 11-6-1 UFC) has suffered five of his six career losses by decision.

Lemos’ (11-1-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) five-fight UFC winning streak at strawweight is tied with Carla Esparza for the longest active streak in the division.

Lemos’ five knockdowns landed in UFC strawweight competition are most in divisional history.

Hill (13-11 MMA, 8-11 UFC) fell to 7-9 since she returned to the UFC for a second stint in February 2017.

Hill has suffered nine of her 11 career losses by decision.

Hill’s 11 losses in UFC competition are the most of any female in company history.

Simon has landed 35 takedowns in UFC bantamweight competition, the second most in divisional history behind Merab Dvalishvili (50).

Raphael Assuncao’s (27-9 MMA, 11-6 UFC) four-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since July 2018.

Assuncao fell to 11-5 since he dropped to the UFC bantamweight division in August. 2011.

Assuncao has suffered four of his six UFC losses by stoppage.
