Norma Dumont defeated Aspen Ladd by unanimous decision in their women’s featherweight bout Saturday night at UFC Vegas 40.
Dumont earned her third consecutive win, 49-46, 49-46, 48-47 on the scorecards.

Ladd made her featherweight debut, the fight’s third choice after Miesha Tate (COVID-19) and Holly Holm (knee injury) were forced to pull out of the bout.
“I know she took the fight on short notice but I want to tell her right now that she’s a 145 (pound fighter),” Dumont said about Ladd. “She fights at 145, she’s got all the strength and power at 145 and I want her to keep fighting in this weight class).”
Ladd controlled the ground but Dumont landed too many strikes. Dumont finished with 113 strikes to Ladd’s 86, including 65-33 signature strikes.
In the co-main event, Andrei Arlovski defeated Carlos Felipe by unanimous decision in their three round heavyweight bout. Arlovski was victorious with scores of 29-28 on all three cards.
Also, Jim Miller defeated Erick Gonzalez by knockout 14 seconds into the second round of their lightweight bout. Manon Fiorot won by unanimous decision over Mayra Bueno Silva, and Nate Landwehr beat Ludovit Klein by submission. The first submission win of his career.
