Jalin Turner likely scored his best UFC performance thus far on Saturday night.
The UFC lightweight ran through Uros Medic with relative ease in their preliminary bout at UFC 266 in Las Vegas. Turner (11-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) submitted Medic (7-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) with a rear-naked choke at the 4:01 mark of the first round.

Turner tagged Medic with a few body shots that seemed to deflate him and put him on survival mode. After a few follow-up shots, Turner took the fight to the ground, got Medic’s back, and secured the rear-naked choke to get the tap.
With this win, the 26-year-old is now on a three-fight winning streak. This was also Turner’s second consecutive submission victory, as he put away Brok Weaver also with a rear-naked choke in his previous performance back in September 2020.
