Arman Tsarukyan continues to climb the Ultimate Fighting Championship ladder and a prominent opponent could be on the next rung.
Tsarukyan posted his fourth consecutive win on Saturday at UFC Vegas 37. Afterward, the momentum was clearly pushing the Armenian in the direction of a prime matchup on his horizon. There is one fighter in particular on the surging lightweight’s mind: Dan Hooker.
Arman Tsarukyan hopes to see Dan Hooker or Tony Ferguson in his UFC future
“He speaks a lot of bad words to me. I wanna kill this guy,” Tsarukyan said after the event about the New Zelander.
If not Hooker, Tsarukyan is hopeful he can get a booking with former division king Tony Ferguson.
“He is the oldest guy in the top-15. I am the youngest guy in the top-15,” Tsarukyan said.
The 24-year-old won via first-round knockout on Saturday. He stunned and finished veteran Christos Giagos at the 2:09 mark in the opening frame.
Islam Makhachev is the only loss on Tasrukyan’s 3-1 record inside the Octagon.
