Niko Price and Alex Oliveira are revving for a potential Fight of the Night contender at an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night event on Oct. 2.
Price vs. Oliveira pits two bonus-friendly fighters in a possible firefight. The match-up was first reported by MMA Junkie and will take place on a card headlined by ranked UFC Light Heavyweights Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker.
Price (14-5-0-2), the owner of four Performance of the Night awards, is winless in his last three fights — suffering losses to Michel Pereira and Vicente Luque with a majority draw against Donald Cerrone overturned to a no-contest. He holds wins over James Vick, Randy Brown and Alan Jouban.
Oliveira (22-10-1-2) is 2-2 in his last four but riding a two-fight losing streak in failed bids against Brown and Shavkat Rakhmonov. His biggest career wins include Carlos Condit, Max Griffin, Will Brooks, Tim Means and Ryan LaFlare.
Other notable fights on the card include Aspen Ladd vs. Macy Chiasson, Kevin Holland vs. Kyle Daukaus, Jimmy Crute vs. Jamahal Hill, and Misha Cirkunov’s moved down to middleweight vs. Krzysztof Jotko.
