Conor McGregor is not going to let his feud with Dustin Poirier go quietly into that good night.
Last month, McGregor lost to Dustin Poirier for the second time this year, breaking his leg in the main event of UFC 264 resulting in a doctor stoppage TKO win for Poirier. Immediately following the bout, McGregor unleashed a tirade on Poirier, making statements about Poirier’s wife and threatening to kill Poirier in his sleep. It was a bad look for the former two division champion and a stark departure from his January loss to Poirier, which he handled with class and humility. But six weeks removed from UFC 264, McGregor is still pointedly avoiding either class or humility, and continues to stoke the beef with his bitter rival.
Last night on Twitter, while discussing super-yachts and the boats he owns, McGregor took the opportunity to fire a shot across to bow at Poirier, retweeting a video posted by one of his fans showing a Poirier interview where he discussed fighting another man who made a move on his wife.
Poirier responded with a still shot showing McGregor knocked out from their second fight, the same image which Jake Paul had turned into a piece of jewelry, whic in turn prompted a fiery response from McGregor, calling back to their first fight that saw McGregor knock out Poirier and again making suggestive comments about Poirier’s wife.
Ye pal live on that one way back, I will too. I bounced your head off the canvas like a basketball. Your wife bro. The dm’s. Elbows into your dome. The soft part of the skull that doesn’t harden ever. From when you’re a baby. Drilled into your skull at 100mph. U slept on my belly

The back-and-forth continued for another few Tweets with the two, somehow, settling on a somewhat respectful note.
But of course, McGregor could not allow things to end with that. A few hours after his interaction with Poirier, McGregor fired a couple more Tweets taking aim at Poirier.
This latest salvo from McGregor, ironically, comes on the heels of him jumping to the defense of one of his bitter rival, Jose Aldo, earlier this week. McGregor and Aldo had one of the most heated feuds in MMA history leading up to their fight at UFC 194 but the two have mostly put the beef past them now, so there is hope that at some point in the future, McGregor and Poirier may do the same. But if not, there is always the prospect of a fourth fight between them once McGregor heals up..
