Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight Jordan Williams may have come up short in his last Octagon outing, but he had a flawless victory over a fellow citizen who tried to steal his car.

Jordan Williams deals out nasty knees to would-be car thief

In a Wednesday post on his Instagram account, the Dana White’s Contender Series contract winner showed video from a security camera of a man attempting to steal his car, while he was inside a local grocery store. The unknown assailant was able to enter his car while it was still running. However, the carjacker wasn’t able to drive off with the vehicle for a very specific reason. Williams explained why in the caption for the video.

“If you are wondering why my car was still on it’s the same reason why he couldn’t drive away, I have a push to start and my car won’t go unless the keys are within 5 ft of it and I have them on me always,” Williams wrote. “Needless to say my lesson was learned and I hope so was his. Wish I would of hit him with the trip after the clinch work when I tossed him out of the whip, and finish off with some ground and pound but I’ll settle with getting my car back. Also, I know you see the stillness of that fannypack, fannyback game was on point this could be a commercial for them.”

In the video, Williams was able to open the car door, just as the man tried to back up and drive off. With the door opened, the former middleweight showed off some nice clinch work and dealt out a combination of knees before pulling the man out and running him off.

Skilled mixed martial arts stopping would-be crooks is nothing new but rarely is it caught on camera. Suffice to say, this would-be car thief will be wary the next time he attempts a heist because you never know when the owner of that vehicle is a highly-trained cage-fighting machine.

Williams, 24, competed last month at UFC Vegas 32. On that night, he suffered a submission loss to UFC veteran Mickey Gall. The 9-5 “Bomaye” is currently on a two-fight losing streak after winning his UFC contract in September 2020.
