The UFC wraps up its busy July schedule on Saturday with UFC on ESPN 28, which features a middleweight headliner of Uriah Hall vs. Sean Strickland.
Hall (17-9 MMA, 10-7 UFC) and Strickland (23-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) are both currently riding four-fight winning streaks at 185 pounds. Only one man can extend the streak to five, though, and they’ll fight to determine who moves forward in the ESPN-televised main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
At 36, Hall appears to be in the midst of his best and perhaps final run toward the top of the division. Strickland, meanwhile, is just 30 and is seemingly hitting his stride better than ever.
It’s an important fight in the career of both men, but who needs the win more between Hall and Strickland? That was a topic of discussion in this week’s episode of “Spinning Back Clique.”
