UFC Vegas 29 opened up in a big way with two back-to-back finishes. In the opener, Casey O’Neill put Lara Procopio to sleep in the third round. To that Ricky Glenn said hold my beer. The Iowa native made his return to the Octagon after three years away in the second fight of the night against Brazilian talent Joaquim Silva. Welp, it didn’t last long.
Just 30 seconds into the fight, “The Gladiator” landed a left hook that seriously stung and floored the Silva. “Netto BJJ” showed some legit toughness by trying to fight through a ground-and-pound barrage and actually, somehow, worked back to his feet. But once upright again, Glenn landed another shot, that once again, gave Silva the jelly legs.
