Midnight Mania! ‘Suga’ Wants Cruz On Mac Mega Card

MMA news

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Love him or hate him, Sean O’Malley is no dummy.

Back in the win column following a tremendous knockout at UFC 260, O’Malley already has his eyes on a high-profile fight on an even more noteworthy event. Speaking with Pat McAfee, O’Malley eyed a bout with former Bantamweight kingpin Dominick Cruz. Cruz called O’Malley out recently, and “Suga” wants to throw down on the next Conor McGregor card.

“The second after you fight the question is, who’s next? I heard Dominick Cruz texted Chael Sonnen saying he wanted that fight,” O’Malley said (transcription via BJPenn.com). “So, I don’t know if Chael got a prank text for a fake Dom or if that’s real. That’s a potential matchup.

“I know Dustin Poirier tweeted the other day, July 10, so I think I’m a pretty good co-main event type dude,” O’Malley continued. “Dustin vs. Conor, Suga vs. Dominick, I don’t know, that makes sense, that might be it. July, we’ll see. I definitely want to get in there a couple more times this year.”

Though O’Malley is almost certainly not among the very select few fighters who receive pay-per-view points, “Suga” benefits majorly from the exposure that goes along with fighting on a McGregor card. He’s already proven quite good at converting fame into dollars, having sold custom jerseys and gear to make significant profit.

A big knockout over Cruz as the co-main to McGregor? That’s a win that sells lot of t-shirts and moves O’Malley far up the ladder.

Francis Ngannou fine-tuning the punch that would kill the king is pretty neat.

That said, the idea the Jon Jones is afraid of anyone is silly. There are pro fighters, don’t believe the negotiation nonsense!

A lot of Cage Warriors fans have been talking about this move for some time. How will Paddy Pimblett do in the UFC?

UFC 262 is filled up with action fights.

The crossover episode no one expected:

Jorge Masvidal teaming up with Jake Paul is a strange turn, but Ben Askren kind of buries him as effectively as one could given the outcome of their fight.
