Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently put the finishing touches on its UFC 260 pay-per-view (PPV) fight card, scheduled for TONIGHT (Sat., March 27, 2021) on ESPN+ from inside the promotion’s APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC 260 will be headlined by the heavyweight championship title fight pitting reigning 265-pound kingpin Stipe Miocic against hulking knockout artist Francis Ngannou. In UFC 260’s co-headliner, former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley looks to re-establish himself in the 170-pound division at the expense of streaking contender Vicente Luque.

Round 1: Tentative start to the fight, no real contact in the first minute outside a body jab from Young. Low kick from Morales. Young takes a low blow, but his cup holds up remarkably well. Both sending out low kick. Morales with a sneaky head kick attempt. Counter knee catches Young shooting in. Morales gets a body lock and throws Young to the ground, landing a right hand on the way up. Two minutes to go.

Young pressing him against the fence. Now some jockeying. Knee from Morales. One minute to go. Good right hand from Young on the break. Young steps back into the clinch, eats a knee to the body. Both throw elbows on the break. 10-9 Morales.

185 lbs.: Abu Azaitar vs. Marc-Andre Barriault

Round 1: Early overhand right from Azaitar. Low kicks from Barriault in return. Left hook lands and Azaitar shoots in against the fence. Barriault comes back with short uppercuts and reverses. Low blow from the Canadian. They resume in the center a minute in. Overhand right, good swings from Azaitar and a knee behind it. Jockeying for position on the fence. Azaitar chipping away. Good knee and uppercut. Hard body shots as they separate two minutes in. Low kick connects. Azaitar forces him back with punches. Knees to the body in the clinch. Two minutes to go.

Good body shots by Azaitar. Some knees on the break, good leg kick. Counter left hook, more knees inside. One minute to go. They exchange a bit against the fence. Jab from Barriault, low kicks from Azaitar. Good right hand by Barriault, eats more low kicks in return. An exchange before the bell. 10-9 Azaitar.

Round 2: Trading low kicks to start. Barriault lands a jab, tries to press forward with a flurry. Azaitar low kick and body shots as he eats a knee. More body shots, then a low blow pauses the action. One minute in. They trade low kicks again. Counter left by Azaitar. Nasty uppercut by Barriault and they slug inside. Hard left hook rattles Barriault and Azaitar tries to shoot. Another uppercut by Barriault before they separate. Two minutes in. Long uppercut connects. Lots of volume from Barriault this round. Azaitar tries a takedown, counters a takedown with a hip throw. They pop back up and Barriault lands some hard elbows inside. Back to the center. Big right hand by Barriault, who walks through an overhand right with two minutes to go.

Elbows from Barriault, stuffs another takedown. Azaitar trying to wade into the clinch. Azaitar uppercut, Barriault right hand. They trade rights, left hook by Azaitar. Azaitar looks tired but continues to throw. Barriault cracks him with a right cross with a minute to go. Heavy 1-2. Azaitar lands some heavy shots with his back against the fence. Barriault comes back with elbows. Brutal exchange on the fence. 10-9 Barriault.

Round 3: Barriault continuing to march forward and send out hard shots. Jab exchange. Barriault slugging on the fence, stuffs a takedown. Azaitar’s mouthpiece falls out and he pauses to pick it up, which allows Barriault to blast him with punches and take him down into half guard a minute in. Big elbows and punches by Barriault. Azaitar is completely spent. Full mount for Barriault. Savage elbows two minutes in. They can stop this whenever. Barriault unleashes more punches and elbows. Azaitar manages to turn to his knees and try to pull guard, but Barriault steps right back into side control and mount. Two minutes to go.

Barriault continues to hammer away, then takes the back. Back to mount, more punches. One minute to go. To the back once again. Back to mount and the next flurry sends the ref into action.

Final result: Barriault def. Azaitar by TKO (punches and elbows)
