After 56 seconds of furious fists and phone booth fighting, Julian Erosa stopped Nate Landwehr with a flying knee at UFC Vegas 19.
Erosa had the final word, but not until he battled back after absorbing a right hand in the clinch that briefly took his legs. Quickly righting himself, he fired back with a series of uppercuts that forced Landwehr to backpedal. With space to work, he went airborne and clipped Landwehr on the chin.
The always-tough Landwehr immediately popped up, protesting the call. But video of the finish backed Erosa’s case. Check it out below.
Erosa picks up his second straight win in his second stint as a UFC fighter, which came after a three-fight skid that briefly sent him back to the regional scene. Landwehr goes back to the drawing board after an impressive win over Darren Elkins. The former M-1 champ is now 1-2 since migrating from the Russian promotion.
