Angela Hill dominates Emily Ducote at UFC Orlando
No. 12 ranked women’s strawweight Angela Hill put in a dominating performance at UFC Orlando on Saturday against No. 13 ranked Emily Ducote.
Hill dictated the pace in the opening round of the preliminary card featured bout. She established her jab and mixed in combinations. She pressed forward and kept Ducote on her heels employing a much higher output than “Gordinha.”
Hill continued to outwork Ducote in the second. At distance, Hill landed combinations. In the clinch she delivered knees to the body. Ducote looked to get the fight to the ground but Hill made her pay with a series of knees to the body.
Heading into the final frame, Hill was having her way, but Ducote picked up the pace. Hill continued to have a higher output and dominated the action in the clinch with knees. Ducote tried to get the fight to the ground in the closing seconds, but it was a one-sided fight. All three judges scored the match for Hill with the scorecards all reading 30-27.
