Dana White reacts to Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva booking: ‘That’s a real fight’
YouTube content creator and social media celebrity turned professional boxer Jake Paul is expected to faces former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva in a boxing match in October.
UFC president Dana White was asked his thoughts on the upcoming Showtime boxing match during Tuesday’s Dana White’s Contender Series Week 6 Post-fight Press Conference in Las Vegas.
“I don’t give a shit. You know what I mean,” White said. “But if he’s really fighting Anderson Silva, if he’s really fighting Anderson Silva, if that’s true, it’s about time.”
Silva holds the record to the longest winning streak in UFC history with 16 consecutive wins inside the octagon. He held the 185 pound title from October 2006 until July 2013, the longest title reign in the promotion’s history.
“He’s got a real fight on his hands, regardless of how old Anderson is,” White said. “That’s a real fight.”
