UFC Fight Night 205 proved to be one of the promotion’s more exciting events of the year. Saturday’s card from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas featured eight stoppages out of 11 fights.
None of those finishes, however, was more significant than the one produced by former champion Jessica Andrade (23-9 MMA, 14-7 UFC), who locked up a historic standing arm-triangle choke submission on Amanda Lemos (11-2-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) in the headlining bout.

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $149,500.
Debuting fighters went 0-2 at the event.
Andrade, Claudio Puelles, Sergey Khandozhko and Dwight Grant earned $50,000 UFC Fight Night 205 fight-night bonuses.
The UFC sold VIP tickets to fans for UFC Fight Night 205, but the promotion did not make public the total number of tickets sold or the gate.
Betting favorites went 9-2 on the card.
Betting favorites improved to 10-3 in UFC headliners this year.
Total fight time for the 11-bout card was 1:17:12.

Puelles’ (12-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) five-fight UFC winning streak at lightweight is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in the division behind Charles Oliveira (10), Islam Makhachev (nine) and Beneil Dariush (seven).
Puelles’ three submission victories by kneebar in UFC competition are most in company history. No other fighter has earned more than one win with the technique.
Clay Guida (37-22 MMA, 17-16 UFC) fell to 5-5 since he returned to the UFC lightweight division in June 2017.
Guida fell to 3-5 in his past eight fights dating back to June 2018.
Guida has suffered 13 of his 22 career losses by stoppage. That includes nine of his 16 UFC defeats.
Guida’s 16 losses in UFC competition are second-most in company history behind Jeremy Stephens (18).

Montana De La Rosa (12-7-1 MMA, 5-3-1 UFC) has suffered all three of her UFC losses by decision.

Tyson Pedro (8-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) returned to competition from a career-long layoff and earned his first victory since February 2018.
Pedro had earned all eight of his career victories by (first-round) stoppage.
