COLUMBUS, Ohio – Aliaskhab Khizriev won his promotional debut by tapping Denis Tiuliulin with a rear-naked choke Saturday at UFC on ESPN 33.

“This is what I expected. I wanted to show an exciting fight. It’s been a long time, I’ve been signed for a year. All of my opponents kept falling off, so finally, I got this one. I wanted to show an exciting fight, this guy ended up being really tough. There might have been an opportunity to finish in the first round, but I also wanted to feel the octagon, feel the air, did not want to finish too fast. Other than that, I think it’s great.”
