The UFC Vegas 47 medical suspensions report, from the Nevada Athletic Commission, is in and nearly a third of the roster of fighters from this past Saturday’s card could be sidelined until August with various injuries.

In the night’s headliner, inside the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, top-10 middleweights Sean Strickland (25-3) and Jack Hermansson (22-7) battled over five rounds to push their names higher in the division’s title contender conversation. In the end. “Tarzan” was awarded the victory by split-decision, with scores of 49-46, 47-48, 49-46.

Strickland is now in the thick of the discourse to land a championship opportunity against the winner of Saturday’s UFC 271 title fight main event between middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker.
