A key welterweight bout has been added to Bellator’s early 2022 schedule.
Top contenders Neiman Gracie and Logan Storley have been booked to fight for a Bellator card that’s targeted for Feb. 19. The promotion has yet to announce the event, but it’s expected to take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
MMA Junkie confirmed the news with multiple sources after an initial report from MMA Fighting.
Gracie (11-2 MMA, 9-2 BMMA) is coming off a career highlight victory. He finished Mark Lemminger in 87 seconds back at Bellator 266 in September. It was his first career TKO win. The win over Lemminger put Gracia back on the win column after suffering a controversial decision loss to Jason Jackson in April.
On the other hand, Storley is looking to further distance himself from his first professional setback. After losing a split decision to now champion Yaroslav Amosov in 2020, Storley bounced back with a decision win against Dante Schiro at Bellator 265 in August.
