UFC Vegas 45 results and highlights will fill this space throughout the afternoon and evening following the conclusion of each matchup inside the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nev. The Dec. 18 card is led by two major matchups in the welterweight and heavyweight divisions.
First, in the co-main event, ranked welterweights Belal Muhammad and Stephen Thompson will face off in a scrap that will push the winner closer to championship contention in 2022. The bout is a monumental opportunity for Chicago’s Muhammad to show once and for all that he is an elite talent in the 170-pound division. And a win over a top-10 stalwart in “Wonderboy” would go a long way in proving that.
In the night’s headliner, fan favorite knockout artist Derrick Lewis makes his return to the Octagon to battle one of the division’s top blue-chip prospects Chris Daukaus. A win for Daukaus — currently ranked seventh in the MixedMartialArts.com UFC heavyweight rankings — over Lewis could push him right towards the front of the heavyweight contender line in one fail swoop.
UFC Vegas 45 kicks off at 4 pm ET with the prelims, which is then followed by the main card at 7 pm ET. The entire event will be broadcast exclusively on ESPN+.
