Combate Global’s year-end tournament tradition is back and MixedMartialArts.com will be covering it live from inside “La Jaula” with the Copa Combate results.
The card is built around a one-night, eight-man tournament featuring fighters from the US, Peru, Ireland, France, Chile, Spain, Mexico, and Argentina. The tourney will be contested in the bantamweight division. The quarterfinal and semifinal scraps will be fought over one five-minute round. The championship round will be contested over three five-minute rounds, if necessary.
The winner of the tournament will be awarded a massive $100,000 payday at the end of the night.
The card also features two reserve matchups and a pair of bouts from the promotion’s women’s divisions.
The 2021 Copa Combate kicks off at 10 pm ET on Paramount+ with the preliminary portion of the card. That is followed at 11 pm ET with the main card, which will be simulcast on Univision and Paramount+.
