Midnight Mania! Islam Mocks Izzy, ‘How Much Did You Lose?’

MMA news

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Islam Makhachev is becoming well-known for his dominance inside the cage, but the Dagestani sambo master is apparently prepared for online conflicts as well. Prior to his flawless UFC 267 victory over Dan Hooker (HIGHLIGHTS), Makhachev apparently took note of Middleweight kingpin Israel Adesanya’s prediction, a bold statement backing his team mate Hooker.

“You guys have to understand the psychopath I have to work with, Team Capitan, Dan Hooker,” Adesanya said on his YouTube Channel. “Dan has this fight in the bag, and I’ll bet my money on this fight. Dan has got this fight in the bag, guaranteed. Write in the comments whatever you want to say, this is my team and I’ll ride with them for life.”

Now that Makhachev has made good on his promises to smash “The Hangman,” he’s come equipped with receipts to remind Adesanya of his previous confidence, wondering exactly how much Adesanya lost on his team mate.

It’s a somewhat playful callout from Makhachev, who doesn’t seem particularly upset. After all, one can hardly blame for “Stylebender” for riding with his friend and team mate, especially when Hooker was such a massive underdog. Still, when one wins with as much style as Makhachev, a Twitter victory lap is deserved.
