UFC 270 will offer up a battle of undefeated featherweight rising stars. As new reports claim a matchup pitting Ilia Topuria vs Movsar Evloev is an expected bout for the Jan. 22 card in Anaheim, California.
Instagram account RedFuryMMA_Official [h/t MMAFighting] was the first to report news of a bout between Topuria (11-0) and Evloev (15-0) for the promotion’s first pay-per-view event of 2022.
Ilia Topuria vs Movsar Evloev planned for UFC 270
The UFC 270 card is anchored by a heavyweight championship unification fight between reigning champion Francis Ngannou and interim titleholder Ciryl Gane. The event scheduled to take place at the Honda Center, will also feature a flyweight title bout when new king Brandon Moreno faces former champion, Deiveson Figueiredo, for the third straight time.
Evloev worked his UFC record to 5-0 by knocking off Hakeem Dawodu at UFC 263 in June.
Topuria has won three straight in the Octagon and opened eyes with a knockout win over submission Ryan Hall a month later at UFC 264.
