The last pay-per-view of 2021 somehow continues to keep getting better.
The already-stacked UFC 269, which takes place on Dec. 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, has added another fantastic matchup in the featherweight division as Dan Ige will face Josh Emmett.
MMA Junkie confirmed the booking with sources who have knowledge of the match-up following an initial report from BJPenn.com.
Ige (15-4 MMA, 7-3 UFC) will look to close out his year on a high note and rebound from a loss to Chan Sung Jung in the main event of June’s UFC on ESPN 25. He started his year off with an impressive first-round knockout of Gavin Tucker at UFC Fight Night 187.
Emmett (16-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) will step into the cage for the first time in over 17 months. He was last in action against Shane Burgos at UFC on ESPN 11, a bout he won by unanimous decision. If successful at UFC 269, Emmett will extend his current win streak to four in a row.
