Based on a recent tweet by MMA management powerhouse Ali Abdelaziz, it seems 2019 PFL women’s lightweight champion Kayla Harrison chin-checked Bellator talent, Dillon Danis, after one of her fights.

If you know anything about Dominance MMA head Ali Abdelaziz, he holds nothing back in his interviews and in his weekly rants on Twitter. Be it in defense of his clients — which is to be expected of someone in his position — or when trading barbs and threats with his own personal rivals in the industry.

The former fighter and representative of UFC stars Kamaru Usman, Herny Cejudo, and retired lightweight great Khabib Nurmagomedov took to his Twitter on Wednesday afternoon and went after Danis, a long-time friend of Dominance MMA enemy #1, Conor McGregor.

Did Kayla Harrison once punch Dillon Danis in the head?

Danis posted a message on the social media site that drew the attention of the well-known fighter manager. Danis’ post has since been deleted, but Abdelaziz’s response still remains. Along with calling the 2-0 competitor a “b*tch,” he also referenced Danis’s recent removal from a nightclub after attempting to use a fake idea and then being choked out by a bouncer. However, it’s the interesting nugget on the back end of the tweet that is the big reveal.

That two-time Olympic gold medalist and PFL superstar Kayla Harrison once had a physical confrontation with the talented Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner.

“B*tch, you making up stories in your head. Bouncer just choked [you] outside the club. Why you even talking? Also, remember when Kayla Harrison punched you in the head in NY after her fight?,” Abdelaziz wrote.

Of course, there is no specific mention of when this alleged punched to the head happened. But since the league did not promote events in New York in 2021, this altercation likely occurred following one of her league play bouts in 2018 or ’19.

Ali Abdelaziz and Conor McGregor won’t be sending DMs on Twitter

The tweet came following a barrage of posts as Abdelaziz took former UFC two-division champion, McGregor, to task for tweets where he referred to long-time rival Nurmagomedov as “a smelly inbred.” The Irishman’s posts have since been deleted and he later blocked Abdelaziz on the platform.

Danis, a multi-time BJJ world champion has not fought since June of 2019. He has won both of his professional MMA bouts by submission.

Harrison (11-0) is scheduled to face Taylor Guardado in the Oct. 27 main event of the 2021 PFL Championships. She’ll be looking to win back-to-back women’s lightweight league titles and stay unbeaten in the sport after 11 pro bouts.
