Saturday’s UFC 266 card is now the focus of many fans and media, but we still have some fun house cleaning to do for this past weekend’s event with the UFC Vegas 37 medical suspensions.

UFC Vegas 37 was an action-packed 14 bout card, with half of the matchups not needing to go to the scorecards. Because of the high level of fight-finishing activity, six of the participants could be out for the next six months recuperating from injuries that include dental and orbital fractures.

One of the competitors that could be forced to the sidelines is main event winner Anthony Smith. The fourth-ranked light heavyweight submitted Ryan Spann in the first round of the events featured matchup. During his dominant victory, he suffered a knee injury that will need orthopedic doctor clearance before we next see him in the Octagon.
