Clark Draws Six-Month Medical Suspension

MMA news

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight veteran Devin Clark suffered a gruesome mouth injury during his UFC Vegas 37 loss to fellow 205-pound bruiser Ion Cutelaba last Sat. night (Sept. 18, 2021) at APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As a result, the 31 year-old “Brown Bear” will be suspended for six months (March 18) pending clearance from an oral surgeon, though it would not come as a surprise to see Clark — who also suffered an injury to his left ankle — sidelined even longer.

Here are the rest of the UFC Vegas 37 medial suspensions from MixedMartialArts.com, helpfully compiled by MMA Fighting:

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-fight examination and often times surface in follow-up tests.
