Six days before Triller Fight Club’s next show, the promotion has released a new event poster featuring a replacement headliner between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort.
Holyfield, 58, signed on to fight Belfort when original opponent Oscar De La Hoya tested positive for COVID-19 and was forced to withdraw from the Sept. 11 event. The promotion moved the event from Staples Center in Los Angeles to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. Internet pay-per-view platform FITE.tv will broadcast the event.
Check out the new poster below.
Before signing on to fight former UFC champ Belfort, Holyfield was negotiating a comeback against Kevin McBride on the undercard of a June 5 Triller event featuring Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos Jr. The event was postponed when Lopez tested positive for COVID-19.
Belfort, who most recently competed in the UFC’s octagon in 2018, opened as a favorite over Holyfield. But the line soon shifted in favor of the former multi-title boxing champ and 90s superstar, who last stepped into the ring in 2011.
