And in the main event, the wielder of “Polish Power” in light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz will defend his title against the ageless wonder that is Glover Teixeira.

Jan Blachowicz vs Glover Teixeira

Blachowicz versus Teixeira is a battle of fighters aging like a fine wine in the UFC’s 205-pound division. A title fight between a 38-year-old and 41-year-old in 2021 is shocking, but it’s a credit to both men’s ability to maintain an elite performance level past what should have been prime years. That alone is worth watching, but the fact that they are both evenly matched power punchers with impressive grappling makes it an interesting championship clash between two likable competitors.

Aljamain Sterling vs Petr Yan

Sterling has received a huge amount of backlash from becoming a UFC champion by disqualification last October. Even more so because he was losing on two of the three judge’s scorecards after three rounds, and the fourth was his worst before the fight was ended after Yan’s illegal knee. “Funk Master” will get a chance to shut up all the doubters in one fell swoop if he can fix the strategic errors of the first fight and defend his title. If not, his short championship reign will have an unofficial asterisk next to it in the minds of many observers of the sport.

Islam Makhachev vs Rafael Dos Anjos

Islam Makhachev has become the next big thing in the UFC lightweight division. His July dominance over another ranked talent in Thiago Moises gave him his eighth straight win and a spot in the top-five of the weight classes rankings. At UFC 267, he will get an outstanding litmus test of his elite status in former division champion Rafael Dos Anjos. It was a fight that almost happened last year and was asked for again by the Khabib Nurmagomedov prodigy last month. RDA now has the chance to make the surging star regret that request.
