TSN and MMAJunkie confirmed the booking had been agreed to with sources close to both fighters.

Rockhold is 13 months removed from a knockout loss at UFC 239 to current light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz. The former middleweight titleholder is 16-5 and has suffered KO losses in three of his last four fights.

Strickland improved to 24-3 with his fifth consecutive after beating Uriah Hall by unanimous decision in the headliner of UFC Vegas 33 last week. That win follows a unanimous decision victory over Krzysztof Jotko and technical knockout of rising middleweight prospect Brendan Allen.

This is the second major bout agreed to this week for the 268. Michael Chandler versus Justin Gaethje was verbally agreed to on Sunday and is expected to be the November 6 cards co-main event.
