Video: Ray Flores unsure Jake Paul gains ‘respect he’s looking for’ with Tyron Woodley win

With crossover boxing fights being all the rage these days, one boxing announcer isn’t sure Jake Paul will get the boost he’s hoping for should he defeat former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in his next bout.

Ray Flores, who was in the broadcast booth for Paul’s knockout win over Ben Askren and part of the international call for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul event, has seen many changes in the world of boxing over the last couple of years and believes Woodley is a great next test for the YouTube star.

The bout between Paul and Woodley will headline an event on Aug. 28, which airs on Showtime PPV.

In an exclusive interview with MMA Fighting, Flores joined MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck to give his reaction to the exhibition bout between Mayweather and Paul, if the event was a win or loss for boxing, why he was impressed by former NFL receiver Chad Johnson’s first boxing bout, why he isn’t sure Paul will get a boost in the respect department if he beats Woodley, and more.
