Jordan Leavitt vs. Claudio Puelles

Round 1 – Leavitt takes the center, and the two start to trade low kicks. Leavitt with an early warnign for having his fingers out as he keeps his guard high. Leavitt changes levels and shoots from distance, though Puelles rolls with him. Puelles has the dominant position, but Leavitt continues to press forward and adjust looking to trade spots. Leavitt briefly grabs a leg and scrambles to top, but Puelles shifts, as well, and moves to his feet. Leavitt stays right and drops, netting a takedown, though Puelles again wastes little time in getting back to his feet. Leavitt working from the clinch and controls the body. He scores a trip, but again, he’s not able to keep the fight on the floor. Two minutes left. Puelles still trying to create some space, and he finally does pull away. They go back to trading low kicks. Puelles with a surprising takedown attempt. He gets inside and drives the action to the canvas. Leavitt looking to control the neck. He turns to a rubber guard. Puelles tries to posture and strike, but Leavitt moves the legs up, and Puelles has to focus on defense. Leavitt with a few hammerfists from his back before the bell. Round ends, and MMA Junkie gives it to Leavitt, 10-9.
