Watch Ferguson’s Knee ‘Pop’ In Slow Motion

MMA news

Beneil Dariush told the combat sports media that Tony Ferguson’s knee “popped” when they locked up at the UFC 262 pay-per-view (PPV) event last Sat. night (May 15, 2021) inside Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

“How did he not tap to that heel hook?” Dariush asked during the post-fight presser. “His knee popped and it popped loud. I saw his face change just for a second and then went back to normal and then he started kicking me in the body.”

Dariush vs. Ferguson was one of several slow motion highlights released by the promotion earlier this week, a video that also included the lightweight championship headliner between Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler.

If something wonky happens between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor at UFC 264, Dariush is likely to land the first shot at Oliveira’s title. If not, he may be looking at another top contender before securing his crack at the crown.
