The anticipated bout between Leon Edwards and Nate Diaz has a new date and location.
Diaz has a minor, undisclosed injury and his welterweight fight with Edwards will no longer take place as the co-main event of UFC 262 on May 15 in Houston, sources confirmed to ESPN on Monday night.
Edwards-Diaz will remain intact and the five-round, non-title fight will be moved to UFC 263 on June 12 in Glendale, Arizona, sources said.

Edwards (18-3, 1 NC) is ESPN’s No. 4-ranked welterweight in the world. The Jamaica native, who fights out of Birmingham, England, is unbeaten in his past nine fights and his only loss since 2014 came against UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
Edwards, 29, is coming off a no-contest against Belal Muhammad, courtesy of an unintentional eye poke from Edwards.
Diaz (20-12) is one of the most popular fighters in MMA. The Stockton, California, native has not fought since a TKO loss to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 in November 2019. Diaz, 36, owns a win over Conor McGregor, and both fights between the two were among the top-selling pay-per-view cards in UFC history.
UFC 263 is scheduled to be headlined by a middleweight title fight between champion Israel Adesanya and challenger Marvin Vettori. The co-main event also will be a title fight: Deiveson Figueiredo defending his flyweight belt in a rematch against Brandon Moreno.
The UFC 262 headliner next week pits Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title vacated by the retired Khabib Nurmagomedov.
