A Bellator women’s flyweight showcase between Valerie Loureda and Hannah Guy is being moved to a new event later next month. MMA reporter James Lynch was the first to report the news, which was then confirmed by MMAFighting.com citing Bellator MMA officials, although no reason for the movement was given.
Bellator’s next star making her return
Valerie Loureda has started her professional career undefeated, with a record of 3-0 picking up wins over Colby Fletcher, Larkyn Dasch, and Tara Graff. Her most recent win over Graff came in August of 2020 which was a second-round TKO. Loureda has made waves inside the Bellator cage and outside of them thriving in both her professional fighting career and her modeling career as well.
With Bellator MMA fully behind her, Loureda returns after a nine-month layoff. A win for Loureda will continue to skyrocket her stock not only in Bellator but also in the division rankings, where she currently sits at nine.
Hannah Guy makes her Bellator debut
Loureda’s opponent Hannah Guy will be making her promotional debut with Bellator MMA and will come in with a 2-1 professional record. She has two wins under the Summit FC promotion, with both of those wins coming by way of submission. Her last fight also came in August of 2020, and she’s getting a big step up in competition in her first appearance with Bellator.
