Jake Paul became a viral sensation with his impressive first-round knockout of Nate Robinson in his last outing on the undercard of the Tyson vs. Jones Jr. exhibition. Askren hasn’t competed in combat sports since Oct. 26, 2019 when he lost via technical submission to Demian Maia. Askren announced his MMA retirement a month later.

Askren to the ring first, not much pomp and circumstance in his entrance. And then Jake Paul entrance with a dancing robot mascot behind him. Michael Buffer is on-hand for the introductions.
Round 1: Askren immediately advances, but Paul ties him up. He’s keeping his hands high and his glove extended in Paul’s face. Paul backs him up with a 1-2. Paul looking to work the body. He stings Askren, then goes back to the head. Huge right hand lands for Paul! Askren hits the mat hard, but looks to be on his way back up. The referee waves it off! This one is over!
