Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Despite his recent and rather public spat with Dustin Poirier over his charitable donation, McGregor is riding high. UFC 264 tickets were priced as high as $10,000, but that didn’t stop them from selling out in mere seconds. Regardless of his loss to “The Diamond,” McGregor is clearly still an absolutely massive draw.
On Twitter, McGregor argued further for the creation of special, McGregor-centric belts. However, since he’s the former double champ, shouldn’t there be two titles on the line? The Irishman’s logic is flawless.
Let’s do two belts actually @ufc. Champ Champ always does two. We’ve got “The McGregor Belt” currently in creation, and now we’ve got the all new “RMF” belt.
“The Richest Motherfucker Belt”.
This way we can put both the rubies and the emeralds to good use.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 16, 2021
The RMF title sounds catchy, but that’s a strap McGregor would continue to hold even if he loses his next ten contests! Naturally, McGregor’s other rival, one Nathan Diaz, quickly hopped online to offer his thoughts … and continue angling for a trilogy match.
“@ufc go ahead and make this lil bitch a belt or 2 with rubies or whatever he wants on it,” Diaz wrote. “I think he really needs it. I need his confidence hi so he can do well, so go ahead and make the belt if you would like too. And go out there and gettem champ..”
Given that McGregor is fighting a man who just knocked out him, and Diaz is a massive underdog opposite Leon Edwards, perhaps the stars are indeed aligning for these two to finally meet inside the Octagon once more?

Tony Ferguson offers a unique explanation for his loss to Charles Oliviera. Hopefully, he’ll work some wrestling ahead of his bout with Beneil Dariush.
Thor Bjornsson has found a new opponent.
Demian Maia has earned his fifth-degree black belt in BJJ!
Love him or hate him, Diaz is a linguistic genius.
I really like taking the leg across the body as a takedown defense. Here’s a far more explosive version that what I do:
Back in elementary school, we used to throw rocks at each other at recess for fun. That seems like a better use of time than this:
Slips, rips, and KO clips
Paul Daley has been trading power shots for a long time, which makes this a pretty remarkable statistic.
Daley telling Homasi that him and Nick Diaz are the only two to ever drop him. Never realized that, it was definitely crazy seeing Paul get floored like that.

Mounted triangle for the come-from-behind victory!
Slam knockouts are among the scariest in the sport. Here’s hoping Obinwa Ikebunna is okay!
