Welcome to Midnight Mania!
Jake Paul has made plenty of headlines talking trash to MMA fighters. Aside from his upcoming boxing match vs. Ben Askren, Paul has his eyes set on a showdown with Conor McGregor … even if the Irishman’s loss to Dustin Poirier downgraded the value of the bout.
Though he labeled Poirier a “bum” at one point, Paul’s friendship with Poirier’s team mate Jorge Masvidal seems to have softened his stance. Now, Paul is looking to prove his skills to “The Diamond” in a sparring match, hoping to earn some clout in the process.
“I’ve challenged Dustin Poirier to a spar, we are both here in South Florida. Masvidal was like ‘yo, you and Dustin would be friends I can tell. You guys would be cool. You have the same sort of energy and vibe. You guys should hang out,’” Jake Paul said to True Geordie (via BJPenn.com). “I don’t have anything against Dustin, I even complimented him for beating Conor (McGregor) and he has done amazing things and you can’t take that away from him. By me challenging him to a spar, it is in no way me coming after him. I’m not trying to start beef.
“Everyone in this sport that’s a fighter knows sparring is a respectful thing. I just merely want to show Dustin how good I am and maybe get his co-sign,” Jake Paul continued. “I’ve challenged him to a spar, no cameras, we don’t even have to talk about it. I told him, ‘yo DM me, hit me up, let’s spar we are both in South Florida. Let’s have some fun.’ I think it would be interesting.”
We are just a few short days away from Askren and Paul facing off in the ring, but unfortunately, that will not be the end of YouTube celebrity boxing.

Francis Ngannou fears no man.
There are some truly amazing fighter names in this thread. It’s worth the click through!
I’m going to steal this trick the next time one of my coaches asks me to do something difficult.
The collective MMA community may not have enjoyed watching it, but Marvin Vettori was historically dominant opposite Kevin Holland.
I don’t remember this specific moment in the great fight between Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway. Pair of legends!
I appreciate the pettiness — and it actually seems like a decent connection!
Cupping is weird.
Slips, rips, and KO clips
Getting caught on one leg with a brutal hook is less than ideal.
Shockingly, Muay Thai in 4 oz. gloves inside a cage is indeed the perfect recipe for jaw-dropping violence.
My god. Another bad KO at Budo Sento. Joel Damian Dorado crushes Rodrigo Fernandez in R3.
Unfortunately Fernandez was stretchered from the cage. pic.twitter.com/yV6bMeuwnx

What kind of Black Mirror bullshit is this?
Midnight Music: I dug the track below by The Human Beinz enough to check out the whole Nobody But Me album. It’s cool ‘60s rock, but what I actually learned is that I already knew the title track from a famous bit from The Office!
Sleep well Maniacs! More martial arts madness is always on the way.
