ONE on TNT II fight card
Headlined by a lightweight title scrap, the five bout card order is as follows.
ONE on TNT II: Appointment television bouts
Christian Lee vs. Timofey Nastyukhin
In the midst of a five-fight winning streak, 22-year-old lightweight king Christian Lee has long been groomed to become the face of ONE Championship for the next decade. However, by beating Shinya Aoki for the title in 2019, then following that up with dominant wins over top contenders in Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev, and Iuri Lapicus, he put to rest any doubts of his legitimacy as a top talent in the organization. Nastyukin has been a stalwart of the division since 2014. And has put together a notable resume of his own in beating former champion Eduard Folayang, Amir Khan, and one-time UFC lightweight king Eddie Alvarez during his run in the promotion. It is a timely test pitting the young superstar during a legacy-building title run, versus one of the division’s best and most dangerous fighters over the last five years.
Prediction: Lee def. Nastyukhin by second round submission
Janet Todd vs. Anne Line Hogstad
Janet Todd versus Anne Line Hogstad is a likely title eliminator scrap between the second and third-ranked fighters in the women’s Muay Thai atomweight division. The key narrative going into the bout will be if Todd–ONE Championship’s reigning kickboxing champion at atomweight–can lock up a second chance at Muay Thai gold and become a two-sport champion in the promotion. Two years ago, “JT” came up short against former champion Stamp Fairtex, in a bid for the strawweight division’s Muay Thai championship. In her second bout with ONE, “Ninja” gets to play spoiler and lay claim to her own shot a championship gold.
Prediction: Todd def. Hogstad by unanimous decision
