Watch a preview for the latest edition of “The Thrill and the Agony,” which goes behind the scenes of UFC 260.
At the event, which took place March 27 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Francis Ngannou (16-3 MMA, 11-2 UFC) took out the consensus top heavyweight of all time, Stipe Miocic (20-4 MMA, 14-4 UFC), with a brutal second-round knockout.
The win was Ngannou’s fifth straight. He earned his shot at the title thanks to four straight first-round knockouts, which came in an average total time of about 40 seconds each. And though he had to go to the second round against Miocic, he was dominant from the outset and had the broadcast team calling him “scary.”
In addition, Vicente Luque (20-7-1 MMA, 13-3 UFC) stayed in the welterweight title picture when he took out former champ Tyron Woodley (19-7-1 MMA, 9-6-1 UFC) with a first-round submmission.
In a preview of “The Thrill and the Agony” special from UFC 260, which is available for UFC Fight Pass subscribers, we get an all-access look at the immediate aftermath of Ngannou and Luque’s wins in the main and co-main events.
