A Heavyweight fight between Philipe Lins and Ben Rothwell is once again back on after it was postponed. Originally set to go down last Sat. night (March 13) at UFC Vegas 21, the bout will now take place at an upcoming “Fight Night” event on May 8 according to MMA Junkie.
Lins is looking to get back in the win column after suffering back-to-back losses at the hands of Andrei Arlovski and Tanner Boser. So far, Lins hasn’t scored a win inside the Octagon, so he needs one here if he wants to have any hopes of remaining on the blaoed UFC roster.
Rothwell is also looking to bounce back after suffering a loss to Marcin Tybura in Oct. 2020. “Big Ben” was on a two fight win streak prior to getting dominated by Tybura, defeating Stefan Struve and Ovince Saint Preux.
The event currently features a Welterweight showdown between former teammates Donald Cerrone and Diego Sanchez, as well as Maurice Greene taking on Marcos Rogerio de Lima in Heavyweight action.
