LAS VEGAS – MMA Junkie is on scene and reporting live from Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 185 event, and you can join us for live play-by-play and official results beginning at 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT).
The event takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and streams on ESPN+.
In the main event, Curtis Blaydes (14-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) takes on Derrick Lewis (24-7 MMA, 15-5 UFC) in a heavyweight fight. In the co-feature, Yana Kunitskaya (13-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) meets Ketlen Vieira (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) in a women’s bantamweight bout.

Serghei Spivac vs. Jared Vanderaa
Round 1 – Vanderaa presses forward right away and lands a low kick. Spivac is backing up towards the fence, and Vanderaa is jumping the jab in his face. Vanderaa throws another leg kick, and Spivac uses it to shoot in and secure a takedown. Vanderaa scoots toward the fence and uses it to stand back up. Spivac still has ahold of him, though, and uses a foot sweep to trip Vanderaa to the ground. Spivac lands in half guard, and starts to go to work. Spivac chips away with ground-and-pound, posturing up and scoring with damaging blows. He keeps that up for the remainder of the round. MMA Junkie scores the opener 10-9 for Spivac.
Round 2 – They exchange strikes for less than 30 seconds before Spivac shoots in for his first takedown and plants Vanderaa on his back, right into the half guard position that led to a dominant first round. Spivac goes back to work, pounding away on Vanderaa with short punches and elbows. One of Spivac’s shots opens up a cut on Vanderaa, who tries to scramble and use the fence to stand up. Spivac has control, though, and starts to open up with some brutal shots. Vanderaa starts to cover up, and the referee takes a very close look. Spivac keeps hammering away on him, and the referee jumps in to stop the fight.

Drako Rodriguez vs. Aiemann Zahabi
Round 1 – Rodriguez works to the center as the two open up patiently. He lands a low kick and then has a right hand blocked. Another right hand fires through, and he pushes into the clinch, though Zahabi is able to circle off and push him to the cage before pulling away. Zahabi switching stances and looking to strike. Rodriguez sneaks in an uppercut, but Zahabi answers with a combination of punches. Rodriguez just a little quicker on the trigger right now. As he moves forward, though, he’s clipped by a right hand on the button. Rodriguez crashes to the floor, and he’s out. Zahabi looks to follow but pulls back after a few quick shots to an already finished opponent. Stunning finish.

Round 1 – With Chas Skelly in the cage, UFC officials announce that Jamall Emmers has been ruled out of the contest for medical reasons.

Shana Dobson vs. Casey O’Neill
Round 1 – O’Neill moves forward quickly and throws a front kick but eats a right hand in return. Punches traded, and O’Neill drives into the clinch and wants a takedown. Dobson defends well and is able to push her away. They move to the center and start trading again before O’Neill changes levels and drives in for the takedown. Dobson quickly scrambles and sweeps and is able to get back to the feet. Dobson teeing off as she walks forward, and O’Neill again looking for the clinch and drives the action to the cage. Dobson circles off and punches and then lands a few knees inside. O’Neill able to get he off-balance and on the floor. O’Neill sets up in side control. Dobson tries to turn for the arm, but it’s not there. O’Neill punching from the top, but she loses control, and Dobson scrambles to a knee and then her feet. She pulls away with a little more than a minute, but O’Neill quickly back inside and drags her to the canvas again. Dobson against the cage and limited in how she can move. O’Neill postures and moves past the legs as she continues to strike from the top. Dobson attacks the leg in the closing seconds but runs out of time. MMA Junkie gives the first to O’Neill, 10-9.
Round 2 – They engage quickly on the feet, but O’Neill is immediately inside for the takedown and drags the action to the floor. She slips around to the back and has the right hook in. Dobson controlling an arm and trying to escape, but as she rolls, that allows O’Neill to take mount. O’Neill looking to strike from the dominant position. She drives elbows and forearms to the had. Dobson covering, and she gets her feet on the cage, but she can’t get the sweep. O’Neill heavy on top and punching away. Dobson covering well, but she’s in a bad spot. Punches coming. Elbows. Dobson rolls, but O’Neill takes the back and wants the choke. Not there, so she turns again to striking. Dobson staying active and trying to roll free. She gets to a knee, but O’Neill breaks the base and gets her on the floor again. Mount for O’Neill, and she continues to strike. Referee Chris Tognoni warns Dobson to move, but she can’t get free, and this fight is over.

Julian Erosa vs. Nate Landwehr
Round 1 – Erosa looking to use his length early, firing out the jab. Low kicks traded. Erosa with a front kick and then punches up top. He lands a right hand that sends Landwehr to the floor. Landwehr battles his way up, and we start swinging. Wild exchanges from both as they move across the cage and Erosa lands a flying knee that sends Landwehr to the canvas. Erosa follows to punch, but this fight is over. Landwehr clearly rocked but also unhappy with the call.
